Since the premature conclusion of AWTHAPOKOI in December 2022, I was sure that I would never touch it again. When I returned to the project in late 2024, I grew dissatisfied with the flow of the riddle and the majority of methods I utilized, often stolen from more popular riddle games. Since then, I've been sporadically changing various levels, often overhauling them entirely. I also noticed that I wasn't really happy with Neocities's limited nature. Don't get me wrong, it's very good for personal websites. I guess the one thing I was really craving was back-end support. So, I made the inevitable decision to pay actual real money for a proper .com domain.

Yep, this time it's somewhat official! I don't plan to make any more changes to this game going forward (unless theres some massive bug I gotta fix), so with this "official" release, you no longer have to worry about a level changing on you.

If you've made considerable progress in the original version and you want to make the switch, please PM me on the forum with a URL to the level you are currently on along with the previous UN/PW you entered. Once I receive the PM, I'll send back a corresponding URL along with the new UN/PW (when applicable) because I'm just that nice. In spite of my generosity, I'd still recommend you simply play through the game again. I know it might get a bit annoying, but I promise the changes are few and far between...I hope. (Also, if you're on any of the fork levels, you'll get two URLs due to how those work now)

I know this isn't the best solution for everyone, but I'm working with what I can here.

So what does this mean for the Neocities version? The AWTHAPOKOI that's on Neocities will stay up for a bit longer so people have time to adapt to the "official" version until I feel enough time has passed (or until all of the level URLs get leaked, whichever comes first). However, finishing the main path on Neocities will no longer count as a win effective immediately. Those who accomplish this, while very smart and handsome, will unfortunately not be added to the "hall of fame".

The forum has not been fully updated, but I will try my very best to make that happen.
